Parenting with chronic pain can be incredibly challenging—both physically and emotionally. This workshop offers practical tools and gentle strategies to help navigate parenting while living with persistent pain. We will explore ways to manage energy, regulate emotions, and set realistic expectations for yourself and your family.


Susan Ward is a seasoned registered social worker with an extensive 29-year career in community and hospital settings, including the last 8 years of The Ottawa Hospital pain clinic. Her compassion and holistic approach has made a significant impact on the lives of countless patients dealing with chronic pain. Committed to making a difference in the lives of those with chronic pain or chronic illness, Susan extends her care through a private practice for people living in Ontario. She holds a certification in pain reprocessing therapy- a mind-body approach to chronic pain. She obtained her master’s degree in social work from the University of Ottawa.
